Manufacturing Capabilities
Build-to-Print Manufacturing
Manufacture control panels exactly to your approved electrical drawings, schematics, and BOM. We follow your design specifications without modification, ensuring consistency with your existing product line.
Design-Assist Engineering
Collaborative engineering support during the design phase. We review your SLD, provide component recommendations, suggest layout optimizations, and ensure NEC/NFPA 79 compliance before production.
Reverse Engineering
Reproduce legacy control panels from existing equipment. We document existing wiring, create updated drawings, and manufacture replacement panels for obsolete or discontinued systems.
Prototype Development
Rapid prototyping for new product development. We build functional prototypes for testing and validation before committing to full production runs.
Low-Volume Production
Flexible manufacturing for low-volume and high-mix production. Ideal for specialized equipment, custom machinery, and project-specific control systems.
High-Volume Production
Scalable production for OEMs requiring consistent quality and delivery. Dedicated production lines, standardized work instructions, and statistical process control.
Build-to-Print Manufacturing
Build-to-print manufacturing means we produce control panels exactly to your approved electrical drawings and BOM without design modifications. This approach is ideal for:
- OEMs with established product lines and standardized designs
- Replacement panels for existing equipment
- High-volume production requiring consistent quality
- Projects where design responsibility remains with the customer
We review incoming drawings for completeness, code compliance, and manufacturability. Any questions or concerns are resolved with your engineering team before production begins.
Design-Assist Engineering
Design-assist engineering means we collaborate with your team during the design phase to optimize the control panel before production. This approach is ideal for:
- New product development requiring manufacturing input
- Complex systems benefiting from component optimization
- Projects requiring NEC/NFPA 79 compliance review
- Cost reduction initiatives through value engineering
We provide component recommendations, layout optimization, thermal analysis, and code compliance review. Design-assist reduces revisions during production and accelerates time-to-market.
NEMA Enclosures
We manufacture control panels in all standard NEMA enclosure types:
NEMA 1 — Indoor General Purpose
Standard indoor enclosure for control panels installed in electrical rooms. Constructed from 12-gauge cold-rolled steel with a removable front door. Finished with ANSI 61 gray powder coat.
NEMA 3R — Outdoor Rainproof
Outdoor-rated enclosure with rainproof construction, drip shields, and conduit hubs. Suitable for control panels installed in uncovered exterior locations.
NEMA 4 / 4X — Washdown & Corrosion Resistant
Watertight enclosures for washdown applications. NEMA 4X uses stainless steel (304/316) construction for corrosion resistance in food processing, chemical, and marine environments.
NEMA 6 / 6P — Submersible
Submersible enclosures for temporary submersion in water. Used in wastewater treatment, marine applications, and flood-prone areas.
NEMA 7 / 9 — Hazardous Locations
Explosion-proof enclosures for Class I (NEMA 7) and Class II (NEMA 9) hazardous locations. Used in chemical processing, oil and gas, and grain handling facilities.
NEMA 12 / 13 — Indoor Dust-Tight
Dust-tight enclosures for industrial environments with airborne dust, dirt, and non-corrosive contaminants (NEMA 12) or oil and coolant exposure (NEMA 13).
SCCR and Compliance
NEC 409.110 requires that every industrial control panel be marked with a Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR). The SCCR must equal or exceed the available fault current at the point of installation.
We calculate the SCCR for every custom control panel based on the specific components, protective devices, and panel configuration. Our SCCR documentation includes:
- Available fault current at the line terminals
- SCCR of each section based on component ratings
- Verification that marked SCCR meets project requirements
- Upstream protective device assumptions
All panels are engineered in accordance with UL 508A standards. We can manufacture panels under your UL file, our UL file, or as non-listed panels engineered to UL 508A standards. Certification status should always be confirmed for the specific project.
For hazardous location applications, we manufacture NEMA 7/9 explosion-proof enclosures and follow NEC Article 500/501/502 requirements for Class I and Class II divisions.
Engineering Process
Our engineering workflow for every custom control panel project:
Drawing Review
We review your electrical drawings, SLD, and BOM for completeness, code compliance, and manufacturability. Questions are resolved with your engineering team.
Component Sourcing
We source components from authorized distributors to ensure authenticity and warranty support. Alternative components are proposed if specified items are unavailable.
Submittal Drawings
We produce GA drawings showing dimensions, device layout, cable entry locations, and enclosure configuration for your approval.
Fabrication
After submittal approval, we release the panel for fabrication, wiring, and component installation per approved drawings.
Testing
100% point-to-point verification, functional testing with simulated I/O, insulation resistance testing (megger), and final visual inspection.
Documentation
As-built drawings, BOM, test reports, UL certification (if applicable), and installation/operation manuals included in shipment.
We have supported North American custom control panel projects since 2008. Our engineering team is experienced with UL 508A, NEC Article 409, and NFPA 79 standards, and communicates directly with your project team in English.
Testing and Quality Control
Every custom control panel undergoes comprehensive testing before shipment:
All inspections are documented and included in the shipment documentation package. Test reports include point-to-point verification results, functional test results, insulation resistance measurements, and as-built drawings.
